Yoli Special Batch - Chamoy

If you have been at our retail shop in Kansas City, you will notice we always have products that are not available online. We use our Westside shop as our living lab, testing ground if you will… we love doing fun experiences. Probably one of the things I get asked the most is when X product will be available online or sorry grocery stores, I know you also get bombarded with questions about carrying other products that people see at our store. Truth be told, these are special batches that we do because we come about a seasonal vegetable, fruit or is simply something we have been wanting to do for ourselves. We make a small batch and if we like it we bottle and sell it. Well today I’m here to share that these small batches will now become available online. There are one off’s and if it all works maybe they graduate to win a permanent space in our online shop and later released in the wild world to grocery stores. So if you try something and you love it, get it again before it’s gone as I can’t make any promises that it will come back. If you have seen something you want, let us know… we love to hear your feedback.

Today we are releasing our Chamoy made with persimmon. We got our hands on some beautiful persimmon and we have been letting it develop its natural sugars until it was ready to be processed. The result is a tangy Chamoy that can be enjoyed over totopos, rimming a michelada or margarita. Heck use it as a barbecue sauce over some smokey ribs!
